Rev. Greg ComerPastor EmeritusEmail: [email protected]
Greg was raised by his maternal grandparents and grew up in Ohio. Much of his faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ was nurtured in their home. Greg and his wife Penny have four daughters, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. They have been married for 43 years in which Penny has put up with most of Greg's nonsense. Greg graduated from Anderson College (now Anderson University) in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Religion and Social Work. He and Penny joined Grace Methodist Church in 2000. Greg came on staff of Grace Methodist Church in 2003 as an Associate Pastor and served in that capacity until 2012. Greg was granted a Master of Divinity degree from Memphis Theological Seminary in 2009. Greg and Penny moved to Hamburg in 2012 and served as Senior Pastor of Hamburg Methodist Church until retirement in 2019. In April 2024 Greg was honored to be recognized as Pastor Emeritus of Grace Methodist Church. |
Rev. Richard GiffordPastor of DisipelshipEmail: [email protected]
Discipleship is more than study! Discipleship is servanthood that not only touches others but also changes us. It’s witness that not only reminds others who Jesus is but also reminds us of whose we are. It’s not only cultivating a community of people that we enjoy but also reciprocating encouragement to friends and strangers. Richard has four decades of pastoral ministry experience in diverse local church settings. In addition to serving as Grace’s Pastor of Discipleship, Richard serves as an intentional interim pastor at regional Methodist churches experiencing pastoral interruptions. Richard earned a Doctorate in leadership and communication at Asbury Theological Seminary. He earned Masters degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary and the School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. Richard is husband to Becky; father to Kaycee (Hunter Hess), Kortni (Colby Johnston), and Wilson (Kylie née Davis); and grandfather to a growing tribe. In addition to vocational ministry Richard and family manage approaching 1,000 acres of farm and forests in the Arkansas River Valley. |
